A Look At Referrals
Instant Cash Sweepstakes recently started showing the total number of referrals you have, and I was blown away by the amount of people that had joined ICS through my referral link. So I decided to take a look at all my referrals from the main websites I use.
Swagbucks
Swagbucks is the first “rewarding” website I ever joined. I was extremely skeptic about making any sort of money or getting prizes from any websites online until I met Swagbucks. After I received my first $5 gift card from them I was convinced that not every website out there was a major scam.
I joined swagbucks in the beginning of 2008, but it wasn’t until December of that same year that I started using their website everyday. That was when Swagcodes came out and that was when I had a blog swagcodes.wordpress.com (which was shutdown, who knows why) which kept track of swagcodes and other things. Swagcodes helped me to get a lot of referrals.
To date I have 528 “friends” referred to swagbucks. You would think that this woule make me a person very well rewarded. But truth is a lot of those referrals never even used swagbucks. They never won 1 swagbuck. Here’s the breakdown:
234 people never got any swagbucks
245 people got between 1 – 999 swagbucks
49 people actually made to 1000 swagbucks
Regardless of the low turn around I have been able to redeem a huge amount of gift cards with Swagbucks.
Irazoo
After I learned about Swagbucks I googled the web for similar sites. I found many… way too many acutally and from most of them I got nothing. But then I found Irazoo, which has the same concept of Swagbucks, but much simpler. With Irazoo you get points to search and recommend websites, plus bonus points per referral.
To date I have 632 “friends” referred to Irazoo. It’s had to track how many of them actually use the website because they keep changing their rules and ways you can win, but Irazoo has also provided me with several amazon gift cards, and I don’t really search much with Irazoo. Most of my points come from referrals.
Instant Cash Sweepstakes
This is my favorite website right now. They keep things simple and they are very rewarding, especially if you refer people. Every time your referral wins you win that same amount. They keep improving their website and they are friendly people, with great customer support. The best yet, is that you don’t need to spend too much time on their website. Actually they limit the amount of time you can spend there so every one has a fair chance.
To date I have 1295 referrals with ICS. It’s the website I have most referrals with. Every person that joins wins at least a few cents, and the ones that stick with it can win a lot more. If your referral wins $1 you win $1 if your referral wins $50 you win $50 and that’s why I love ICS. Their website is in my favorites and I visit a few times a week.
HitPredictor
I joined HitPredictor because I love listening to music. And getting rewards to listen to music sounded like the perfect website for me. Unfortunately their store is so small that sometimes you just don’t have too many options. However I have managed to get a few gift cards and other rewards from them. I can’t really tell you how many referrals I have with them because, well, they don’t keep track of it. But it has been over 50 from the e-mails I get.
Lockerz
I’ve only got 27 referrals with Lockerz. That’s because they don’t give you a link, you need to invite people by e-mail. Extremely annoying. I’ve pretty much giving up using Lockerz and it’s because nothing is free there anymore. I will write more about that later.
Listia
I joined Listia a few months ago and so far I have referred 65 “friends”. Not too bad. Listia doesn’t give you prizes, but every time you referr people you get points and every time they sell stuff you get points and with all those points you get free stuff!
Toluna
The lastest website I’m trying out is called Toluna. You can only refer people using email as well, which won’t work very well. But with Toluna there are other ways to get points fast. I’m pretty new to Toluna so I can’t say much about it right now. Only that they are a serious website. Nos scam.
Conclusion
So when it comes down to TIME SPENT x AMMOUNT OF REFERRALS x PRIZES EARNED, your best bet is to sign up with ICS. I’ve spent less time there, I have earned referrals faster and have earned paypal cash quickly.
And by the way, I don’t go around in forums and chats and facebook or whatever else spamming people with fake promises. I just use this blog. It’s simple, and it’s honest.
